«J’ai toujours aimé le désert. On s’asseoit sur une dune de sable. On ne voit rien, on n’entend rien. Et pourtant, quelque chose rayonne en silence …» Le Petit Prince.
Caravane dans le désert

What brings us to the desert? What is this powerful magic, that keeps appealing people in the heart of the great “nothing”? Simplicity, emptiness…. The link that can exist with a tough and demanding nature sometimes seems to bring you back to yourself. The desert is not a meaningless place. It is fragile: It deserves attention, humility and modesty. You don’t happen to be there by accident, and you don’t come back the same. The people seem to look like the place they dwell in. Humble and true, they know how to be warm and welcoming without being intrusive. Create a relation with them asks time….just like walking in the desert. To take time….something we don’t really pay much attention to anymore and that seems to be forgotten by many people in our societies. Desert is in a way the place where the rigid schedule dies. No more obligations… just walking, and taking the time… to drink tea. At night, sleep under the stars. You learn how to become flexible….especially when you ride a camel !
